Fall Mini Sessions in Guelph

Without a doubt, the University of Guelph Arboretum is the most beautiful place to take fall photos. The Arboretum features trails, bird sanctuary, a Japanese and an English garden, variety of scenes, open fields, and a generous palette of colours.

Here are some tips for a beautiful fall session:

  1. Golden Hour. The fall with its warm yellow-brown hues is the perfect match for the warm golden hour warm light.
  2. Natural. Less posed photos but more natural ones with lots of movement. Walking is a great choice as this is what people normally do in the fall. But also leaves throwing and some playful activities to show the family bond.
  3. Dress warm and appropriate for the season in seasonal or neutral colours.
  4. Bring your happy smiles and playful nature.
  5. Embrace the weather. The fall is a season of change, and the weather gods might decide to throw us a curve ball for our golden hour. If it rains, or if it is windy, embrace it and run with it as the photos will be awesome. Bring your rain boots and rain coats, and un umbrella for fun in the rain.
